Baby Food - The Durham
Revue
|
Fringe
Programme page 17 |
The impression one gets
walking into this venue is one has walked into the wrong one. It is
set with keyboards, drums microphones and guitars. It is also very
dull and gloomy. Unlike the show!!
Yes, the cast can play and
play very well, but is this revue? The question is soon answered
with a Meatloaf look-a-like appears with a comic version of 'I'd do
anything for love... but I won't do that'.
This is the start of a running
gag that is not beaten to death during the show, but is often never
far away.
They have some excellent
material, okay a little not quite excellent, but more than enough to
sustain this show.
So if it's good quality you
want at an affordable price don't miss it. You could do anything in
the Fringe, but you shouldn't do that!
