Boothby Graffoe - All on his own

Fringe Programme page 20
How can you label Boothby? Stand up? Musician? Playwright? Raving Lunatic? I feel he would have to own up to all of the above.
What cannot be denied is that the man is supremely talented, and deserves to be better known than he already is.
To a almost full venue, he introduces himself, twice, once for the benefit of the usual latecomers, and then proceeds to launch into a discussion with his audience on jobs, the night I was there seemed to be the invasion of the IT consultants. He also had a discussion with a Yorkshire man, a fisherman and a lady from Australia.
Mostly he had discussions with himself , providing the voices for amongst others his kitten and associated members of the Ben Laden ‘gang’ ,  see above re lunatic  but that is not fair, he is whole demeanor reminded me a little of the late great Spike Milligan and Boothby I hope you take that as a compliment.
He can play a mean guitar, he in fact treated us to three songs he had written and did a nice segment with a didgery-do.
Not content to playing to his audience, he several times open the exit door and 'played to the crowd' outside as well.
Boothby you were great. I hope you sell out every night.
