Colin Murphy

Fringe
Programme page 42 |
Colin Murphy is a true master
of his craft and once again we are treated to a master class
performance from the genial Irish man.
He does talk to his audience,
does not pick on them, just chats as he would with his mates in the
pub. He has a fund of funny stories to expound on and entertain his
packed audience.
As most comedians on the
Fringe this year there is an element of post September 11th
especially as the first suspected case of anthrax was in a small
hamlet in Ireland.
He devotes a fair proportion
of his show in ridiculing team building and personal development
skills quoting from a couple of books he had on the subject, and
from written audience suggestions, all with his own interpretations.
He is also full of anecdotal
comedy drawn from his extensive travels over the last year.
Colin Murphy is such a born
entertainer the hour slipped away before I knew it.
