Phil Nichol - Things I
like, I lick
|
Fringe
Programme page 47 |
Last year I reviewed Phil
Nichol, and all though he was good, for me he was not great. When I
was nominated to review him again this year, I must confess I was
not that enthralled,… Boy was I Wrong!!!
It is said that tragedy is
great comic material, and if even half of Phil's experiences in the
last year are true no wonder this years set is excellent.
He has been arrested, lost his
long term girlfriend, had his nose broken, lost most of his money in
Australia and suffered, and that really is the word, what must be an
excruciating injury to a rather tender part of his anatomy.
Mix this material with a few
songs, audience intimidation, I mean interaction and a new ending
each night dreamed up by one of his friends and this is an excellent
hours entertainment.
If I was Phil, who licks the
things he likes, this show is worth a real good slobbering.
