Ronaldo Ate My Credit Card

Not in the Fringe Programme

Firstly may I say I hate football with a passion!
So why go and see “Ronaldo ate my credit card” which is obviously about the 2002 football world cup.
Well it is co written by Mark Brailsford, who also performs the show and Paul Hodson who has an impressive history of previous scripts.  Mark is a past performer with Newsrevue and is part of the infamous ‘Treason Show’ also performing at this year’s fringe.  With such an impressive pedigree and the fact that it is partially based on Mark’s own experiences in Japan this year I couldn’t resist going.
The show itself exceeded my expectations as I found myself hanging on Mark’s every word.  ‘It started in the pub with the usual suspects. When someone said lets go to Japan!’   Simon (Mark’s character) Impulsively buys a ticket to Japan to try and see the England versus Brazil match, much to the disbelief of his girlfriend Clare.  She asks ”and the house we’re buying…?”  Twenty-four hours later Simon is in Tokyo, the rest is his story.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show and could not believe it when it finished and I wasn’t the only one.  I heard three different groups of people say how much they enjoyed it too.
Football fan or not let Simon show you his adventure and I guarantee you have a good time.
