Ross Noble - Sonic Waffle
|
Fringe
Programme page 49 |
The show is entitled Sonic
Waffle. I'm not too sure about the sonic part, but can Ross waffle?
He sure can!! But all this is part of this genial Geordies magic,
and I use the word intentionally.
I suppose the show must have a
script, but it feels that Ross is just having a chat with his mates,
okay, in excess of 400 of them, in the pub.
He talks to his front row, but
is not threatening, he just wants to know about them.
It is a testament to the man's
charisma that the hour passes before one is aware of it. He
entertains us with stories of accidental encounters with drug
pushers in dark allies, an encounter with an Edinburgh taxi driver,
what he would do if he ever went to see Swan Lake
and a visit to B&Q amongst others. I have a feeling that
a different audience would get a whole different show such is the
man's ability to inter react with the public.
So if you want to see this
comic genius, try to get a ticket now! He is selling out every night
and has added 4 shows at George Square Theatre. Check at the box
office for dates.
