The Treason Show

Fringe Programme page 56

Mark Brailsford, Kate Van Dyke, Mark Katz and Carol Kentish are from  Brighton were this sensationally satirical show is based. I am surprised they are not confined to the Tower of London for their collective comical up-to-date mickey take of ....everyone.
The show is so fast paced, sometimes one is still recovering from one skit when the next one is already in place. The quality of the writing is immense, equally matched with the quality of delivery.
A lot of the material has music as an integral part and this is predominantly provided by Graham Lipscomb supported on occasions by Mark B. and Kate on guitars. They all sing well and are masters of facial expressions together with a real talent for mimicry.
A few of the many highlights for me were The Who wants to be a Millionaire phone calls, Davina McCall's new game show, the inevitable Tony and George Dubya scenes, a few digs at the Royalty and a hilarious song based on the website Friends Reunited.
I believe Treason still carries the death penalty, and I feel this should be evoked if you miss this spectacle.
